1961 WHITEHAVEN CLASS REUNION
Dear Whitehaven Alumni:
Wow… boys and girls, has it been fifty years since the WHS class of 1961 graduated. Our fortieth and forty fifth reunions only seem like last week. Now we are making plans for our best reunion ever on October 1, 2011. The reunion will be held at the Hilton, Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd, Memphis, TN., 38120. (Poplar & I240) PH: 910-684-6664
Reunion will be from 5:30p.m. till 10:30pm, with buffet dinner beginning 6:00. We will have a Disc Jockey playing 50’s 60’s and 70’s music. Dress is casual.
Hilton Memphis, will have a cash bar with favorite alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and setups. The Hilton will also cater the dinner which includes tea, coffee, and soft, chewy bland entrees with ample amounts of roughage.
Hotel accommodations can be made at Hilton Memphis, 901-684-6664 (fax 901-762-7496), www.memphis.hilton.com. Rooms are $99/night. Make reservations soon..

For classmates arriving the evening of September 30, the Hilton has an open atrium that should be perfect for an informal gathering and friends meeting place.
There is currently a tour of our old Whitehaven High school set for Saturday morning, Octobr 1. We will also plan for an informal lunch and visit following that tour. The Hilton says we can get the ballroom room three hours early for decorations.
We can use volunteers to help locate classmates, decorate, and help with event accommodations.
